About The Homework Helpline
Through a determination to support parents and children during the school closures, she founded The Homework Helpline, which aims to provide expert tutoring in all subjects to children of all ages from Year 1 upwards with her fantastic team!
She is extremely grateful for the opportunities online teaching has given her. Not only is it convenient but is every bit as effective as face to face: it allows us to reach, help, support and get to know so many more families around the UK and further afield.
Marion teaches all subjects to all ages but specialises in Maths at 11+, both ISEB and Grammar School entry tests, and Common Entrance at 13+ for entry into the UK's top Public Schools, having had extensive experience both in the classroom and as a tutor. Her passion is helping those children who struggle with Maths, helping them to find the confidence they need to really achieve their full potential. Marion has always believed that a child can only succeed with confidence. That confidence comes from just the right balance of praise and challenge and a true understanding of the way in which he or she learns.
Marion has enjoyed teaching thousands of children over the years, and the fact that each one is different, and each one can succeed, makes the job especially enjoyable! She is also on a mission to empower parents with the knowledge and confidence they need to help their children learn, so offering mentoring, support, and how-to-teach sessions for parents so they can engage with their child's learning at home. So many parents are baffled by today's teaching methods and honestly, no one blames them!
